In the last week, three students have started their training working towards their NPPL in G-VRRV, with two having completed their second flights today! The society has also taken on two more students to total five, maximising the use of the aircraft alongside research flying.
The first few sorties focus on the effects of the various flight controls and learning how to maintain straight and level flight. They also cover various ground procedures, including taxiing and aircraft maintenance and operation.
Maya had her trial flight this morning and flew around the Isle of Wight:
“I loved the flight and look forward to starting my training soon.”
